چکیده

The paper proposes a new soil evaluation system using the principle of Saaty method. method has been modified and named Soil Assessment System (SAS). Significance weights are assigned to individual characteristics (indicators). This provides more detailed differentiation significance indicator on quality accurate assessment, especially in marginal cases where assessment by methods used so far not fully conclusive. In addition physico-chemical properties, other criteria taken into account assess only productional but also non-productional functions. possibility indicators referring broader context (e.g., sealing value) is important, thus enabling comprehensive land. results points for sampling locations. Soils categorized according number shown maps.

Fostering soil stewardship through soil quality assessment

Soil quality is not a purchased technology; instead, it is a concept that can be used in making land management decisions. Researchers have generally agreed upon the soil properties that determine soils’ capacity to function and have emphasized that soil quality must be understood in context. Soil quality research has included the following: (1) soil management research, where the effects of ma...

Microwave Remote Sensing in Soil Quality Assessment

Information of spatial and temporal variations of soil quality (soil properties) is required for various purposes of sustainable agriculture development and management. Traditionally, soil quality characterization is done by in situ point soil sampling and subsequent laboratory analysis. Such methodology has limitation for assessing the spatial variability of soil quality. Various researchers i...
